Hi all,

Just a quick presentation, I'm Pedro from Portugal I ride a G650X and I'm living in holland for 3 years, after riding offroad everywhere around the globe I still couldn't find some nice trails here in holland... if anyone feels like going for a ride and show me around I would be appreciated.

Hope to see you, trail or tarmac is all good if it is 2 wheels.

Cheers,
Pedro
Hi Pedro, there are a couple of events on allroadmaniacs. I love to show you around.
Sorry that we made fun of you about living in 'holland'.

Nice... my first post and I create caos.

Thank all for welcoming.

Actually I'm not that far from the correct word, I live in Noord-Holland.

Looking forward to join on some rides. Indeed Netherlands is small so if you meet somewhere I definitely will join you.

Wherever it is in Europe is also accessible depends only on the motivation.

Have a look here for 'offroad' rides;
http://www.enduro.nl/kalender.htm

Else join a club that organised their own ride outs;

There are two kinds of people in this world, those that can stay on topic, and I like frosties!

Keep in mind the off the road rides organized by the knmv require a (day)license, which you can buy for a whole year or just for the day. There are some requirements for the bike. It needs road legal tyres, good brakes and stuff (which is logical)

Those rides are great fun and quite a bit of off-road, because of the big amount of riders the tracks can become quite rough! (which is good)

Other rides are organized by clubs or individuals (like by people from this club) and those are less rough, but maybe more distance.

Thank you for the advice crazybond700.

I just saw the Markelo for this weekend 3rd november, do you think is an accessible one? I have some skill but my bike is not finished yet, i miss some knobby tires (dual sport tire) but i did already the stella alpina with them and went fine.

Thank you once again.

Those rides are 95% offroad I think, or at least the fun part. The rest is route towards the next part. It containts lots of (wet) (corn)fields. Single track trough forrest etc.

Just some random youtube video to give an impression:

Pretty good, like it never did anything like that though but there's never to late to start, what i see is that you were all riding small bikes (lightweight bikes), and mine is a bit heavy 160Kg.

Well i will pass there to see and then i decide how/when to start joining the competition.

You have good skills (as camera man and offroad driver, nice to see)

Thank you for sharing.

not my video, its just a random one on youtube.

I have a Yamaha tt600 (160+ without petrol) and a CR250 (+-100kg). I prefer to use the Honda! But did some OTR with the TT aswel, aslong as its not to wet.

Most ride lighter bikes, but there are some who will ride trans alps and such on these rides ::)

I'll be in Markelo. so maybe I can help you out with the registration and so on.

If nothing goes right......

Nice image, indeed big bikes can handle the work. I'm getting more and more motivated to join.
