The new team Husqvarna Monster Energy speedbrain

Top results at the most prestigious Extreme Enduro races and the German and European Cross Country Championship are the target for new Team Husqvarna Monster Energy speedbrain. Andreas Lettenbichler and Paulo Goncalves are the two internationally recognised pilots to make it happen for Husqvarna.

Speedbrain has been BMW´s offroad factory team since 2006. Victories with the BMW HP2 at the Erzberg and Pikes Peak were the initial highlights of the young squad. Then came the BMW G 450 X, with speedbrain seeing off its prototype year. The results were harvested in 2008 - Simo Kirssi scored the first WEC podium in 2008 - and 2009, when Juha Salminen ended the world championship as runner-up.

Three European and two German Cross Country titles were also taken and presented to BMW Motorrad. Plus several podium finishes in Extreme Enduro competition: at the Erzberg, the Roof of Africa and all the way to a Red Bull Romaniacs victory.

Speedbrain functioned as the "extended work bench" of BMW Motorrad and as BMW´s offroad motorsport division.
Now a new era is being started.

As BMW is concentrating all offroad activities under the Husqvarna banner, Team speedbrain switches colours for 2011. Andreas Lettenbichler will compete in all of this year´s major Extreme Enduro events aboard a Husky WR 300. "Letti" is a fan favourite and has earned a reputation as one of the lead riders in the scene, putting the BMW G 450 X four-stroke on the podium at both the Erzberg and the Romaniacs against advantaged two-strokes. He won the Romaniacs in 2009.

Paulo Goncalves will represent Team Husqvarna Monster Energy speedbrain in the German Cross Country Championship. The Portuguese is following in the footsteps of multi-champ Simo Kirssi, who will race a Husqvarna in the U.S. GNCC series. Goncalves has won several Motocross titles back home and turned heads throughout the Dakar 2011, when he took a stage win. He can certainly be found near the front in Cross Country racing also, thanks to his powerful riding style.

Husqvarna is an iconic off-road motorcycle brand. In ’07 Husqvarna became a part of the BMW Group with the German company completely revitalising the Husqvarna brand, which is now the off-road competition arm of BMW Motorrad. Goed lezen , dit gaat om het off road team , Frans heeft een speedbrain contract voor het hele WK van 2011 en de Dakar 2012 in het MONSTER SPEEDBRAIN RALLY TEAM

Zot, je post ging over het feit dat dit stuk niet in het topic over de Dakar en Verhoeven paste. Daar had je gelijk in en de topic is gesplitst. In dat nieuwe topic heeft een mededeling over het 1e topic totaal geen waarde meer en is voor lezers van het gesplitste deel onbegrijpelijk. Dus konden die 2 posten eruit. Nu ga je daar over lopen piepen terwijl je opmerking juist is verwerkt. Dat die post en reacties daarop daar niet thuis hoorde. En dan kom je weer met flauwe opmerkingen. Wat wil je nu?
