De stand van de proloog staat ook op de marathonrally-site en daar kun je hun nummers zien. Volgens mij heeft Jeroen nr 50, Corné nummer 51, Marcel nummer 48, dus dan zal Meindert wel nummer 49 zijn. Zijn ze wat makkelijker herkenbaar op de foto's.
Leuk hoor dat die site zoveel foto's plaatst en die video's zijn helemaal top!
Waarschijnlijk is er van de jongens vrijdag pas weer nieuws omdat ze tot die tijd geen bereik hebben.

27-10-2005 Anne Kies met 6 x 6 op weg naar Tunesie
Het Hutten rally team vertrekt naar Tunesie voor een trainingskamp van 10 dagen. In Genua gaat het team op de boot naar Tunis en daar zal men een aantal dagen aan de El Chott rally deelnemen. Anne Kies en Marcel Stappenbeld vertrokken vanmorgen om 10.30 uit Beerzerveld voor de reis van bijna 1200 km. naar Genua. De Ginaf 6 x 6 was door Luchjenbroers Emmen in de kleuren gespoten en AT reclame uit Laren bracht gisterenavond nog snel de bestickering aan. De beide bedrijven hebben goed en snel werk geleverd waarvoor onze hartelijke dank. De beide rally wagens staan nu nog bij de spuiter maar aangezien de rest van het team pas morgenochtend vertrekt komt dit ook allemaal in orde.

31-10-2005 Succes voor Sunweb Hutten Rally Team in Tunesië
erman Hutten en Hennie Wullink wonnen met overmacht de proloog in de El Chott Rally. Over een strandparcours van bijna 11 km waren ze ruim een minuut sneller dan Ebert Dollevoet en Winston Post in de tweede auto van het team. Als trotse klassementsleiders mochten zij de volgende dag als eerste starten voor de etappe van ruim 371 km. Het was een mooi gezicht de twee auto's van het team aan de kop van het klassement te zien starten

De reis naar Tunesië was lang en we waren maar wat blij dat de rally eindelijk van start kon gaan. De temperatuur is bijna 27 graden en de stemming zit er natuurlijk goed in na de behaalde successen. De Unimog van het team Hoogendijk/Wesselink werd keurig vijfde in het vrachtwagenklassement. Kortom het gaat hier goed en we laten binnenkort weer wat van ons horen.

02-11-2005 Etappe van 371 km werd tijdrit
De organisatie van de El Chott Rally heeft de proef van de eerste dag aangepast. In plaats van een snelheids- en navigatieproef werd het een tijdrit. Er moest op een vooraf vastgestelde tijd worden gereden en men mocht niet later of vroeger dan deze tijd binnenkomen. Het gevolg voor onze twee auto’s was dat men al ruim drie uur voor de vastgestelde tijd aan de finish stond. Wachten had niet zo veel zin dus werd er maar ingeklokt. Het gevolg was wel dat onze beide auto’s beloond werden met een straftijd van enkele uren. Niet leuk voor het klassement maar om drie uur te moeten wachten om te mogen finishen is wel een hele lange tijd. Toch was de etappe niet zonder problemen verlopen. Hier en daar wat navigatiefoutjes en daarboven op dus de straftijd drukte toch wel een beetje de stemming. Maar zoals binnen ons team gebruikelijk was dit al heel snel over. Ebert en Winston hebben hun vuurdoop gehad en waren zeer enthousiast. Of het rijden over een kerkhof en het afdalen van een stenen trap nu wel of niet in het roadbook stonden dat laten we dan maar zo. Ze hebben in ieder geval veel geleerd en daar ging het tenslotte toch om.

Het team Hoogendijk werd door\\kwajongens met stenen bekogeld en twee stenen gingen dwars door de ruit en de cabine. Wat kneuzingen en een gesneuvelde voorruit waren het gevolg. Nico Hoogendijk belde op met de boodschap dat ze gestenigd waren maar al weer onderweg waren. Geen leuke ervaring maar dat mag bij deze heren de pret niet drukken. Ze hebben heel veel plezier samen. Vandaag dus twee snelheidsproeven zodat onze beide Sorento’s kunnen larten zien wat ze waard zijn..

De service ploeg doet heel belangrijk werk en verving gisteren in recordtijd een koppeling. Ook binnen de assistrentie groep is de sfeer uitstekend. Het gaat ons dus allemaal goed en dat hopen we zo te houden.

21. El Chott: Hard dunes and a burned down Nissan on Wednesday

03-11-2005 Monteurs maken overuren maar stemming blijft goed

Wat de bedoeling was komt ook precies zo uit. We wilden gaan testen en de auto’s vol belasten. Tot de grens en het liefst een beetje erover zodat de grenzen aangegeven kunnen worden.. Natuurlijk zonder risico’s te nemen want de veiligheid wordt ook in de El Chott rally met hoofdletters geschreven. Een koppeling werd gewisseld, en voor zelfs een complete versnellingsbak draaiden de mensen hun hand niet om. We kunnen hier testen onder Dakar omstandigheden en dat lukt goed. Vandaag een zware etappe met veel zand ( en spit) werk. Ons rescue team de Hoogendijken en Wesselink met de Unmig kregen vandaag hun eerste klus. De auto van Ebert en Winston stond vast in de duinen maar de Unimog was snel ter plaatse en zijn nu met de Kia op sleeptouw onderweg naar het bivak. Daar zal bekeken worden wat er aan de hand is want de auto moet morgen wel weer rijden voor de lange weg terug naar Nederland. Eerst ruim 700 km naar Tunis, dan 22 uur op de boot en dan ook nog ruim 1200 km op weg naar huis. De Ginaf 6 x 6 zal het wel niet redden om zondag al thuis te zijn, want de auto mag op zondag niet rijden in Zwitserland en Duitsland. We zoeken nog naar een oplossing maar het zal wel moeilijk worden. </p><p>Vanavond en morgenochtend worden er nog filmopnamen van ons team gemaakt die de organisatie gaat gebruiken voor reclame doeleinden. Op deze wijze komen we makkelijk aan professionele beelden van ons team onder wedstrijdomstandigheden.</p><p>We gaan op de boot nog evalueren en daarna is het aftellen voor Dakar. We kijken terug op een geslaagde test periode in Tunis.</p><p>Ons reddingsteam met de Unimog blijft de rally &quot;normaal&quot; uit rijden hoewel normaal misschien niet het juiste woord voor deze equipe is. We wensen ze veel succes en ze hebben bewezen dat we in geval van nood op hun kunnen rekenen.</p><p>Dit was de verslaggeving vanuit een zonnig Tunesie. Rogier van harte en tot zondag.
